Today’s highly complex multi-supplier technology solutions are predicated on sophisticated contract models that protect the interests of all parties. Contract negotiations are typically approached from an “outcomes-based” perspective, and focus on clarifying exactly what the solution will provide. But, there’s one contract element that (often) isn’t given the attention that it should – the solution definition.
At Integris Applied we typically find three issues with solution documents:
- Only included as an appendix or addendum.
- Developed exclusively by the service provider.
- Constructed as restatements of client requirements.
